Food for Thought

A man was recently fined for eating a sandwich whilst driving. An extention to the Road Safety Act, which came into force on February 27th, means that eating behind the wheel of a moving vehicle is now punishable with the same severity as talking on a mobile phone whilst driving.

Reading maps, documents and drinking are included under the Road Safety Act penalty system, that could see drivers land a fine of ?60 and three penalty points.
